Culver Cliff can be found on the Isle of Wight and is located between Yaverland and Bembridge. There are parts of the cliff that are public, these are owned and managed by the National Trust. This may result in having to ask permission from the National Trust to film, if i choose this location.
For many years the whole site was a military zone and not open to the public. There are several historic military features on the down, a number of private dwellings, the Culver Haven pub, and the very visible Monument. The military barracks which once adjoined the monument has been almost completely erased, but there is a substantial fort, now under the ownership of the National Trust and occasionally opened to the public. This may be good to go with my theme of soldiers in military uniform, but where the cliff is a public site it may be difficult to film without being interrupted by people. Also, there are animals roaming teh cliff and so they may get in the way when filming.
Borthwood Corpse
Borthwood Copse, located in Borthwood on the Isle of Wight would be a great place to shoot the trailer as there are many thin and tall trees, with quite a bit of open space. This would create a creepy and scary atmosphere. One bad part of choosing this location to shoot the trailer would be the amount of mud could interfere with shooting as sometimes it becomes very deep and someone could get stuck. The copse is also open to the public, which means that there would be easy access for filming although it is very popular for dog walkers and filming may get interrupted due to this.
Island Recon Airsoft Site
The Island Recon Airsoft Site is located in Shorwell on the Isle of Wight. With tall trees and a few (but not to many) open spaces this would be a great location to film the trailer. The site is not public and so the filming will not get interupted by the public.
Also, the owners of this business are good friends of mine and i have already asked whether it would be okay to use their site and some of their players in my filming. They agreed to let me film and use their players. As i believe this is the best place to film my trailer, i will be using this location.
